What is RSS? A feed is simply a file containing summaries of stories and news. Using a news reader (or your web browser -see below) you can get a quick glimpse of stories published on a website. The news reader can notify you when a new story appears on the Web site, so you don't have to keep checking the site for new information. Not all websites currently provide RSS, but it is growing rapidly in popularity and many others, including the Guardian, BBC, provide RSS feeds. |
